The production of crops for sale, crops intended for widespread distribution to wholesalers or retail outlets and any non-food crops such as cotton and tobacco. Commercial agriculture includes livestock production and livestock grazing. Commercial agriculture does not include crops grown for household consumption.

a) Tropical Plantation Agriculture
- Dominated by perennial plants, each grown for many years

b) Vegetable Farming
- The growing of vegetables for human consumption
- Traditionally it was done in the soil in small rows or blocks, often primarily for consumption on the farm, with the excess sold in nearby towns
c) Aquaculture
- Such as fish, crustaceans and aquatic plants
- Involves cultivating freshwater and saltwater populations under controlled conditions
d) Livestock Farming
- Raising of animals for use or for commercial purposes
